Talk Title: How to get into Cybersecurity field?
Description: In this presentation, Oksana will share her story how she went from a banking industry to cyber security. She will draw on lessons learned, skills required, helpful resources, where to start, and tips on how to be successful in this field. All disciplines are welcome, no specific technical knowledge required.
Speaker's Bio:
Oksana Zbyranyk is a Cyber Security Solutions Architect at the Bank of Canada. She obtained her Bachelor's degree in Internal Business Management and Master's in Environmental Management and Sustainability. Her career started in a banking industry, where she worked as a Financial Services Representative. Her fascination with cyber security led to self-study and complete change in the career direction. Oksana started her cyber security path in the 24x7 SOC 2Keys, followed by consulting with Accenture as a Senior Information Security Analyst, and further contributing and developing her cyber security knowledge with a SaaS company Kinaxis. Currently, Oksana is enjoying her new role with the Bank, where she built Cyber Third Party Risk Management program. Oksana holds CISSP, GIAC GCED and GCCC certifications and is focusing on obtaining cloud cyber security certifications next.
