Talk Title: Data Science in Cybersecurity

Description:  Alyssa Columbus will give an overview of how one can use data science and analytics in information security, governance, and privacy. She will also give a brief overview of the NASA Datanauts program and how you can get involved in helping to uncover new insights from NASA's open data.

Speaker's Bio: Alyssa Columbus is a member of the Spring 2018 Class of NASA Datanauts, and her technical guides, tutorials, and articles have been featured by leading organizations, including Forbes, Microsoft, and the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM). Columbus is a member of the MIT Technology Review's Global Panel and is a former contributor to open-source software with over 45 million downloads. A strong proponent of diversity in tech, Columbus is also a data science committee member for the AnitaB.org Grace Hopper Celebration and the founder of R-Ladies Irvine.
