Biography:
AJ Khan, CISSP, CCSK, PCIP, MBA (Innovation & Entrepreneurship)
AJ Khan is the CEO of CloudGRC, the Co-Chair of the Cyber Security Committee (CSC) of APMA and a member of the International Advisory Board (IAB) of IICIE. AJ has over 20 years of experience in Governance, Risk & Compliance and 13 years of experience in Innovation and Entrepreneurship. During this time, AJ has worked on Cybersecurity & GRC in Middle East and North America in multiple sectors including Financial Institutions, Oil & Gas, Telecom, Government, Retail & Manufacturing sectors. AJ’s Cyber expertise includes building Cyber Governance strategies, policies & procedures, Payment Card security, Cloud security, CASB and Automotive Cybersecurity. Some of his previous clients include Royal Bank of Canada, Bank of Canada, Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce, Cisco Systems Canada, HP Canada, GTAA Toronto Pearson Airport, Saudi Aramco and Kuwait Petroleum Corporation among others.
AJ is ardent advocate of Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC). In his view, there is a critical need to address Cyber Security in today’s Connected deployments and if considerable effort is not made to address this issue, corporations will incorporate security debt that will manifest itself later in the form of major security breaches. This will not only lead to loss of critical data & disruptions in operations activity, it will also lead to a major loss in the brand reputation.
In addition, AJ Khan’s latest book “The Global Age of Entrepreneurship” attests to his passion with regards to Innovation and entrepreneurship. The book aims to take the entrepreneur through the exciting journey of the entrepreneurship eco-system to the stage where it is finally having a global presence. This journey starts by defining just who is an entrepreneur. Other important ingredients of the entrepreneurship journey are Innovation, Branding and Marketing, Social Sales, Community Building, a Global Business Model and understanding the global marketplace. In addition, it is also imperative to know and utilize the KPIs that measure success.
